Amanda lee is an international arbitrator, with an unwavering drive to affect positive change in ADR community and beyond. She has been making quite an impact with her boundless energy, exceptional speaking skills, and innovative initiatives. Amanda is the founder of “Careers in Arbitration” and “ARBalance.” “Careers in Arbitration” is an electronic, web-based professional development resource for folks aspiring to enter and excel in the field of international arbitration, which now has more than 56,000 followers globally. ARBalance is a platform focusing on mental health and wellbeing in the arbitration field.
Ms. Amanda Lee is a member of the Advisory Council of ArbitralWomen, the Advisory Board of the Indonesia International Arbitration Center, and the Peer Review Board of the American Review of International Arbitration and serves as an Ambassador for Racial Equality for Arbitration Lawyers (R.E.A.L.), amongst other roles.
Ms. Lee will be interviewed/moderated by Shakhzoda Tuchieva, Esq., pursuing the Doctor of Juridical Science Degree (S.J.D) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Panelists and Moderator Bios:
Amanda J. Lee, FCIArb is an Arbitrator and Consultant at Costigan King, London. Her practice focuses on commercial dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on the automotive, finance, and waste management industries. She has been appointed as sole arbitrator on 25+ occasions and accepts appointments in both domestic and international arbitral proceedings (ad hoc/institutional).
Amanda is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law, UK, and a member of the ArbitralWomen Advisory Council, and the INIAC Advisory Board, amongst other roles. She is the Founder of Careers in Arbitration, and ARBalance. She was a recipient of the CPR’s 2022 Outstanding Contribution to Diversity Award.
Shakhzoda Tuychieva, is pursuing the Doctor of Juridical Science Degree (S.J.D) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she is writing her dissertation on the “Legitimacy of Investment Treaty Arbitration”. She is serving as a Graduate Student Assistant and Teaching Fellow in the Career Development Section for the International Studies Department at the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a fellow of the 2023 ABA Section of Dispute Resolution.
Prior to her LL.M. degree, Shakhzoda practiced investment law and arbitration, and worked as Secretary at Tashkent International Arbitration Center and as Deputy Dean at Tashkent State University of Law. For the past two years Shakhzoda has been serving as a coach for the Vis Moot team, as well as FDI Team advisor at Tashkent State University of Law. She is a graduate of law from Uzbekistan (Central Asia) and has an LL.M. degree from Penn State Law (2022).
